Why MSME DIGITAL GRANT 2024 ?

The Malaysian Government wants more small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) to use technology. They started a program in the 2023 Budget to help. They’ll give SMEs up to RM5,000 (Malaysian Ringgit) if they spend on digital services. This is called a matching grant, and they’ll cover 50% of the cost. The government set aside RM500 million for this over five years. The catch is, it’s only for the first 100,000 SMEs who join. They launched this program 2023, to encourage local businesses to get into tech.

Applicant Eligibility

  • The company is at least 60% owned by Malaysian.
  • The company registered under SSM/PBT.
  • Company/Co-operative that has operated at least six(6) months.
  • Not eligible for those who received Digitalisation Matching Grant before.
  • Company/co-operative that has a minimum annual sales turnover of RM50,000.
  • The co-operative registered under Suruhanjaya Koperasi Malaysia (SKM)/Lesen Professional.

Required Document

  • Complete application form.
  • Invoice/billing from authorized Digitalisation Partner like Million.
  • Company’s bank statement for the last two (2) months OR audited financial report OR latest account statement.
  • Copy of Identity Card or Passport of Director (s) / Partner (s) / Proprietor(s), Co-operative representative whichever is applicable.
  • Copy of business registration licenses (SSM or other relevant forms) under the Companies Act 2016. SKM registration certificate for co-operative.

Application Flow For SMEs

SMEs can contact appointed Million Appointed Resellers for digitalisation service

SMEs can download the application form from the website or request it from any BSN branch or SME bank

Complete the application form and submit with required documents to any BSN branch or SME Bank

Banks will take approximately 15 days to processes application

Once approved, SMEs will receive the offer letter, accept and sign it

SMEs will make the 50% payment to the vendor and SMEs will receive a receipt

BSN or SMEs Bank will reimburse the remaining 50% amount to Vendor.

No, MSMEs or cooperatives are ineligible for the MSME Digital Grant MADANI if they have previously been awarded a Digitalization Matching Grant.

Each eligible MSME or cooperative can get a grant of up to RM 5,000 or 50% of the invoiced amount to implement digitalization.

The application process duration can take up to 3 working days. After you submit your application, it will be reviewed for approval. You will be notified via email about the status of your application.

You must provide a completed online application form, a copy of the owner’s, director’s or partner’s NRIC, a business registration licence or SSM business profile, as well as your most recent management accounts or bank statements from the last two months.

If your application is approved, you will be notified via email. You are then required to pay the remaining invoice amount (after deducting the subsidy) within 14 days. Upon successful payment, your Digitalisation Partner will commence delivering the service.

You will receive an email with a unique payment link. You are required to make the payment via the payment link.

If you fail to make the payment within the specified period, your grant approval will be automatically cancelled and you would have to reapply for the grant.

You will be notified via email about the progress of your application status.

Yes, you can apply for up to three types of digital services under the MSME Digital Grant MADANI.
